Fitness and the Arts get together for a fun week in June
June 16-20, 2008 is National YMCA Arts Week. The Minot Family YMCA and MACA have planned special activities that highlight the connections between sport/fitness and arts. Both kinds of activites are fun and good for you! All activities take place each day from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Minot YMCA and are free, open to the public, and for participants of any age. A variety of offerings are scheduled.

Our Mission:
"To support and advance the full range of arts for all ages and abilities”

The Minot Area Council of the Arts is a nonprofit arts service organization providing services to member organizations and the community, working diligently towards the goal set forth in our mission statement.

Member services include the coordinated arts calendar and publicity for their events/performances through MACA’s free bimonthly newsletter distributed to nearly 3,000 homes. (Sign up for our enewsletter, or add your name to our mailing list.) Also available to members is grantwriting assistance, use of our copier, fax and the ability to have their own page as a part of this website.

Ongoing programs, Arts in the Parks, our free summer concert series, and Arts in the Schools, our interactive integrated arts education program, have served the community for many years.
