Since the 1970s, the Minot Area Council of the Arts has provided  specialized arts experiences to thousands of area children. Local working artists assist children in experiencing firsthand a variety of artistic disciplines. Classroom teachers choose from a project roster that includes: clay, dance, printmaking, Ukrainian eggs and other traditional arts, watercolor, poetry, drama, music, and more! This program is a valuable resource for teachers because the sessions integrate with core curriculum.

Parents often purchase “Artists in the Schools” gift certificates as gifts for their children’s teachers. (Now that’s a gift a teacher can really use!)

To schedule an AIS session, select a presenter or an activity from the AIS Class Roster. Then use the form listed at the right to place your request. After the session is complete, please take a few minutes to fill out the Teacher Evaluation form. To contact the AIS staff email sv@minotarts.org.
